Forgive Others As God Forgave You

Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Colossians 3:12-13

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Prayer For Ability To Forgive

Dear Lord, I choose as an act of my will, regardless of my feelings, to forgive the person who has hurt me. I release them, and I set myself free to Your healing. With Your help, dear Lord, I will no longer dwell on the situation or continue to talk about it. I thank You for forgiving me as I have forgiven them. I thank You for releasing me. I ask this in Jesus’ Holy name, Amen.
